🇲🇦 Eclipse Caravan – Morocco 2027

A 14-day journey across Morocco, built around one of the rarest celestial events on Earth: a total solar eclipse in the heart of the Sahara.

Trip Overview

Duration: 14 days / 13 nights
Dates: July 25 – August 7, 2027
Start/End: Casablanca
Group Size: Maximum 12 guests
Trip Cost: To be announced

The Experience

This is not a highlights reel. It’s a hand-built journey that winds through cities, mountains, and desert to reach something extraordinary — over six minutes of total darkness during the morning of August 2, as the moon fully eclipses the sun above the dunes of the Sahara.

We’ll witness it from a private luxury desert camp, deep in the Erg Chebbi dunes, in the exact center of the path of totality. No crowds. No roads. Just space, silence, and the sense that something ancient is unfolding above you.

But this journey isn’t just about the eclipse. It’s about sipping mint tea in Chefchaouen. It’s wandering medinas in Fès and listening to music under desert skies. It’s camel rides, hammams, rooftop breakfasts, and that subtle shift in perspective that happens when you finally slow down.

You’ll never unpack your bag for just one night. You’ll never be rushed. This experience was built with rhythm, not urgency. And at every step, you’ll be led by people who know the land and how to move through it well.

Where We Go

Rabat
Morocco’s breezy coastal capital. Walk whitewashed kasbah walls, explore quiet gardens, and begin your journey with space to land and breathe.

Chefchaouen
The famous blue town tucked into the Rif Mountains. Cats in alleyways, echoing calls to prayer, and mountaintop sunsets.

Fès
The country’s cultural and spiritual heart. A maze of over 9,000 alleyways, ancient mosques, and living craft traditions.

Midelt
A cool, quiet mountain town between the Middle and High Atlas. A place to rest before the desert.

Merzouga
The gateway to the Sahara. Here, we’ll prepare to step into the dunes with care and intention.

Erg Chebbi Dunes
A remote, silent sea of sand where we’ll sleep in luxury tents, ride camels at sunset, and witness the total solar eclipse in complete stillness.

Ouarzazate
The cinematic gateway back to the world. Palm trees, kasbahs, and dramatic mountain passes.

Marrakech
Red walls, rooftop gardens, sensory overload and quiet corners. The city unfolds however you need it to.

Casablanca
A calm landing and closing dinner at the iconic Rick’s Café before departure.

The Eclipse

On the morning of August 2, 2027, we’ll gather in the Sahara and witness one of the longest durations of eclipse totality anywhere on Earth — more than six full minutes of silence, stars, and absolute awe.

The sky will darken. The temperature will drop. The stars will return. The sun will vanish. And for a few rare minutes, we will stand barefoot in the dunes beneath a sky that reminds us just how small and lucky we really are.

This moment is what the journey turns around. But it’s the quiet buildup, the shared presence, and the feeling of being exactly where you’re meant to be that makes it unforgettable.
